Can you believe Christmas will be here in just 6 short weeks! I don’t know about you but I’m not prepared. Typically I shop all year long and am done by September, but not this year.
I have an incessive need to have all my Christmas presents wrapped under the tree by the beginning of December. For this reason, it looks like I’ll be joining the droves of people waiting to get the best Black Friday deals.
Can we talk about all the black Friday ads and how overwhelming they are. I mean come on, do we really need 50 pages of sale items for every store!? I’m not getting in line on Thanksgiving for the $2 sock sale. I decided I’d take the work off you. I sat down and wrote down all the hot tickets items from every store and compared prices and brands.
Let me first start out by saying that cheap prices aren’t always a good deal. I remember one black Friday, back before kids, Zach and I got a great deal on a TV at Walmart. We were super excited to get a flat screen for only $200 that we put in our bedroom. Not even 1 year later our great deal TV had already started losing pixels. Needless to say, I now look for great deals on great items, not just the lowest price.
I’m disappointed to say that Amazon’s online black Friday sales are not standing up to those of other in-store competitors. The only great thing about Amazon is that they are staggering their sales this week. Each day, starting Friday, they will release their “door buster deals”. This is good if you didn’t get your hands on an in-store deal and are still looking for some type of discount. For this reason, you won’t see Amazon in any of my must have Black Friday deals list.
