Spring Rice Krispies

Ingredients

  • 10 oz bag Marshmallows
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies
  • 3 Tb butter melted
  • Icing
  • Food Coloring
  • Sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Follow Rice Krispie treat recipe instructions through mixing ingredients together 

  2. Split mixture in bowls depending on the number of colors you're using

  3. color each mixture.  This needs to be done fairly quickly as the melted marshmallows will start to firm up

  4. Drop each color, a little bit at a time, all over the pan.  Once you've put all the colors in wet down your hands with water and press down firmly to bring each color together and even it out

  5. Place in the refrigerator for minimum 30 minutes.  Once you pull it out let it sit for 10 minutes, then proceed with cutting out your shapes

  6. Once you have your shapes place them back into the refrigerator until you have your icing ready

  7. Place a few scoops of icing in a bowl and melt for 20-30 seconds until runny.  Add a few drops of each color throughout your icing then swirl around with a toothpick

  8. Slowly dip each Rice Krispie into the icing without moving it back and forth and then slowly pull it back out.  Place on wax paper to firm

  9. Keep dipping until the color starts to disapate and then add more icing to the bowl and repeat steps 7-8

  10. Once you've dipped all your Rice Krispies add your sprinkles and let sit for minimum 30 minutes
